Mrs. Bonnie Allard
Bonnie Allard is the Owner & Artistic Director of the Allard Academy of Dance. She has been a dance instructor for over 45 years. She was a student of Eileen Marlow and also studied over the years with many Master Teachers in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Production and Choreography. She is a certified dance educator with the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and Dance Educators of America. She continues her education in technique and choreography with many Master Teachers on a yearly basis by attending CNADM Training School and Convention in Chicago. Along with producing and choreographing her own recitals, Mrs. Allard has contributed choreography and dance numbers to many community programs over the years, including two full productions of the Nutcracker Ballet, Coppelia and Peter & the Wolf with the LSCSO. Her goal as a dance teacher is to touch the hearts of children, exposing them to the joy and the discipline of dance, so that they may gain self-confidence, self expression and develop the qualities every child needs to succeed.
Ms. Cheryl
Cheryl has been a student of Bonnie Allard since 1984. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in dance, specializing in movement theory and choreography. While in college, she was awarded the Copperfoot Award for Choreographic Excellence and certified in Elementary Laban Notation.
Cheryl also had the opportunity to take master classes with a wide array of dance professionals including Dance Theater of Harlem, Chinese Peking Opera Theatre, and Twyla Tharp to name just a few. She is also certified as a personal fitness instructor and enjoys sharing with others the benefits of proper exercise. In addition to her duties at the studio, she has also performed in many community programs. Cheryl has
performed at the Festival of Lights and the Motor City Jam. She has also performed with Ballet Renaissance,
S. Louis Contemporary Choir, and in several joint ventures with the Lake Saint Clair Symphony Orchestra.
However, she most enjoys sharing her knowledge with others to help them realize their own dance goals.

Ms. Monica
Monica began dance training at the age of three with Eileen Marlow and continued her studies with Bonnie Allard. She joined the teaching staff at the Allard Academy of Dance in 1984. Monica has studied over the years with many Master Teachers in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Swing, at Teacher Training Schools and Conventions offered through educational dance organizations such as CNADM. She also is an RN. Monica
especially enjoys teaching the teen & adult classes in Jazz and Swing.

Ms. Kathryn
Kathryn started her dance training with Bonnie Allard in 1984 at the age of three. Kathryn majored in dance at Mary Grove College in Detroit and continued her studies in Pittsburgh at the Conservatory of Performing Arts, Point Park College. She has performed in the Nutcracker Ballet in Pittsburgh, and with the DSO and LSCSO where she also performed in Coppelia. Kathryn has studied with Master Teachers at the CNADM Ballet Forum, Training School, and Convention in Chicago where she is a certified member. She is a choreographer for the very successful Allard All Stars Performance/Competition Team.
Ms. Stephanie
Stephanie began her dance training at the Allard Academy of Dance in 1986 at the age of 2. She continued her studies there for fifteen years, gaining technique and knowledge that she used to get her Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from Eastern Michigan University. Stephanie is happy to be back at the Allard Academy of Dance as an instructor.
Stephen Hadala-Guest Master Teacher
Stephen will begin his twelfth season this fall with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. He began his dance training
with Bonnie Allard at the Allard Academy of Dance in 1984. He also trained at Marygrove College, Dance
Theatre of Harlem, and the School of American Ballet before coming to the PBT School in 1998. Stephen
teaches master classes at the AAOD as well as the popular annual summer dance intensive.
